On 14 Aug 2016, a severe accident happened at Jurong Port Road.

A worker was hit by a vessel’s crane while the crane was lifting out a bundle of steel bars out of a cargo. The worker was pronounced dead at the scene.

MOM already issued a Stop Work Order for all lifting operations on board the vessel and started the investigation of the cause of this accident.
