On 30 June 2016 at about 1630hrs, a fatal accident happened at a work-site in Marina South.

At about 1600hrs, an equipment hoisted to a crane suddenly dropped to the bottom of shaft and struck a worker who was working there. The worker was announced dead at the scene.

MOM already stopped all work at the work-site by the developer for this construction project which is PUB and the Main Contractor called Transbuild Engineering Pte Ltd.
